Why and How would I use it?
This learning strategy can be used to help students learn necessary
vocabulary terms for upcoming or ongoing units. Teachers give students 9
vocabulary terms and ask students to link each term together by
explaining how the two relate. This can be done as a class, in pairs, or
individually. This is a quick and easy way to activate the class’
learning and get students thinking about the lesson ahead and to
introduce them to terms they may be unfamiliar with. This strategy can
work in most subject areas including science classes and math. This
strategy can also be manipulated to become a evaluating tool rather than
an teaching tool.
