Why and How would I use it?
I would hand out the Labs think sheets prior to watching a video or film. I would show them how a filled out sheet would look like and explain what am I want them to do and what I am looking for. I would answer they might have and then I would instruct my students to process the information by listening, asking questions, picturing int information and summarizing the information.
I like this strategy because it helps students take notes and helps them organize their thoughts. It also provides a great references sheet for studying.
